Apparently I'm not a big brother any more. My brother died, sometime Friday I think. Alone. I found him the next day. It hasn't sunk in, yet. Current Mood: numb |

Well, that went about how I expected: It was unspeakably (in a Sanity-sapping, Eldritch-Horror summoning, end-of-the-world WOW! kinf of way) awesome to actually get to listen to some of my favourite songs performed live by some of my favourite filkers. It was also unbearable, endless, gibbering nightmare for those of us who are socially inept, introvert nerds with no ability to actually understand or interact with real live people. Still, at least I made the effort, such as it was. Sorry to all the lovely folks I gibbered at -- it was meant in the friendliest way possible. Also, should I ever be so foolish as to try something similar again in another 20 years, here's a hint to Future Me: Yes, take the damned songbooks. While being safe from zombie culinary consideration is nice, being unable to remember one verse in five from songs you sing all day every day just does not put the win in. Current Mood: accomplished |
